Day 1
South to Hawassa
The 273-kilometre drive south through the Rift Valley to Hawassa, with an evening on the lakeshore.
Day 2
Sidama farms & washing stations
Into the Sidama hills to walk a smallholder farm and see a washing station at work — pulping, fermenting and drying on raised beds.
Day 3
Gedeo & Tuto Fela
South to Dilla and the Gedeo landscape, where coffee grows beneath enset and shade trees, and the carved stelae of Tuto Fela.
Day 4
Yirgacheffe
A day with growers around Yirgacheffe, a cupping of the season's coffees, and a three-round ceremony in a family home.
Day 5
Back to Addis Ababa
The drive north to the capital, with coffee bought directly from the farms we visited.
