The itinerary, as it usually runs
A working draft rather than a fixed schedule — we move days around for weather, festivals and how you are feeling.
Day 1
Gondar
Fasil Ghebbi at opening hour, the cherubim ceiling at Debre Berhan Selassie, the potters of Wolleka village, and Kuskuam palace as the light goes.
Day 2
Up to the rim
The drive north to Debark, then an afternoon walk from Buyit Ras to Sankaber among the gelada troops, and a lodge fire waiting at the end.
Day 3
Jinbar Falls & Imet Gogo
A half-day walk to the Jinbar gorge, lunch on the escarpment, then the drive out to Imet Gogo for the view across three ridgelines at dusk.
Day 4
Chenek & return
An early run to Chenek while the walia ibex are still on the cliffs, then back down to Gondar in time for an evening flight.
