Day 1
Addis to Gheralta
A morning flight to Mekele and the drive north into the Gheralta range, arriving for sunset over the sandstone.
Day 2
Abuna Yemata Guh & Debre Tsion
The barefoot climb and ledge walk to Abuna Yemata Guh for those who want it, a valley-floor church for those who don't, then the frescoes of Abune Abraham in the afternoon.
Day 3
Maryam & Daniel Korkor
A steady climb to the summit plateau for both Korkor churches and the view across the range, then down to Korkor village for the night.
Day 4
Yeha to Axum
The drive west by way of Yeha, a temple older than Aksum itself, arriving in Axum by mid-afternoon.
Day 5
Axum
The Northern Stelae Field, the Chapel of the Tablet, the Ezana inscription and the palace ruins at Dungur.
Day 6
Departure
A morning flight back to Addis Ababa to connect with your onward journey.
