The itinerary, as it usually runs
A working draft rather than a fixed schedule — we move days around for weather, festivals and how you are feeling.
Day 1
Addis Ababa
Met on arrival, a boutique hotel, and a private evening with dinner and live music.
Days 2 – 3
Lake Tana
A private boat to the island monasteries before the day crowds, the Blue Nile Falls, and an unhurried lakeside lodge.
Day 4
Gondar
The royal enclosure and Debre Berhan Selassie with a historian, and a private dinner in the old city.
Days 5 – 7
The Simien rim
Three nights at an escarpment lodge: gelada troops, Imet Gogo at sunrise, and walks as long or as short as you choose, with a vehicle always close by.
Days 8 – 9
Lalibela
The churches at dawn with a senior guide, Asheton Maryam above the town, and the cave church of Yemrehanna Kristos.
Day 10
Departure
A flight to Addis Ababa, a day room and a farewell lunch before your evening departure.
