Jimma, the Coffee Kingdom
The palace of King Abba Jifar II, and the coffee country that made his kingdom rich.
The Journey
2 nights, designed around the hours that matter
South-west into the green heart of coffee country. Jimma was the capital of the strongest Oromo Gibe kingdom, and its king's palace still stands above the town. We pair it with time on local coffee farms and in the forest, and a ceremony in a family home.
